Gryzor87 made his debut as a game composer with his score for freeware PC title Hydorah. An homage to the sidescrolling shooter, or shmup genre, the game was developed independently in Andalucia, Spain over the course of three years. Upon release, Hydorah was made available for free download together with the full soundtrack in mp3 format.
The soundtrack to Hydorah was inspired by the musician's memories of Konami MSX games which he frequently played between the ages of 12 and 16. Over 50 tracks, encompassing over 55 minutes of music, were developed for the game score. The music covers a variety of styles, from jazz fusion and progressive rock to techno and heavy metal, all performed on classic synthesizers including Yamaha SY55, Korg 01/W, Korg Trinity and Casio Cz-230S.
Several of the tracks for the game feature thematic innovations taking the shmup genre to new places. The musician used a Renaissance keyboard, one which he constructed himself in 2005, known as a Muselaar, on tracks "Meropticon," "Dancing Blocks" and "Death Interception." The track "Path of Scylla" includes a Spanish-language vocal performance. The ice planet the Untulia also features a piece composed in a "Japanese-Spanish-arcade-style," inspired by Spanish musician Paco de Lucia and flamenco.
As an enthusiast of classic Japanese game soundtracks, Gryzor87 was glad to participate in this musical tribute to Hiroyuki Iwatsuki. The musician's arrangement of Spanky's Quest was heard for the first time as an additional track released specially for Iwatsuki's 40th birthday celebration.

Gryzor87はPCのフリーウェアゲーム"Hydorah"で作曲家としてデビューを飾った。サイドスクローラーもしくはシューティングゲーム(Shmup）への敬意を表したそのゲームは３年の月日を経てスペインはアンダルシアで単独で開発されたものである。リリースするにあたり、Hydorahをmp3によるフルのサントラとして無料ダウンロードができるようにした。
Hydorahのサントラは作曲家のKonami MSXゲームの記憶からインスパイアされたものである。それは作曲家が１２歳から１６歳の間によく遊んだゲームだった。５０曲以上、５５分強の音楽がHydorahの為に作られ、ジャズフュージョンやプログレロック、テクノやヘビメタ等多くのスタイルをカバーしている。全ては昔のシンセ、ヤマハSY55, Korg 01/W, Korg TrinityそしてCasio Cz-230S等によって演奏されている。
いくつかの楽曲は画期的なアイデアを用いており、シューティングというジャンルをさらに新しい場所へと導くものと言えるだろう。彼自身が２００５年に組み立てたルネッサンスキーボード "Muselaar"を""Meropticon," "Dancing Blocks" そして"Death Interception."にて用いている。楽曲"Path of Scylla"はスペイン語によるボーカル曲だ。”The Ice Planet Untulia”も日本及びスペインのゲームセンター的なスタイルを楽曲に取り入れており、フラメンコやスペインのミュージシャンPaco de Luciaに影響を受けたものである。
昔の日本のゲーム音楽の熱狂的なファンとして、Gryzor87 はこの岩月博之氏へのトリビュートアルバムに喜んで参加することになった。彼のラッキーモンキーのアレンジは今回初めて、岩月氏の４０歳を記念するものとして追加トラックとしてリリースされた。
